Re: no input sound?
I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling audacity will make any difference (specially because that will keep the preferences file and that is actually what may make a difference...). There are instruction on the wiki on how to reset the preferences. But I don't believe that will make a difference...

Re: no input sound?
So when you select it on Audacity's preferences what does actually happens then? Do you get a flat (silent) line when recording from it?

Re: no input sound?
Just to recap... - you connect the mixer to the mac (with audacity not running) - you open audacity - you go to audacity preferences -> devices and the mixer does not show in the devices list Is this what happens? If so then: - quit Audacity (Cmd-Q) - open system preferences and go to sound -> input...

Re: Crashed audacity 1.3.12 beta, cant recover the project
If it's a flat silent line on audacity, then it will still be all silent if you export it whatever the format is... I'm afraid your show might be lost for good :( As a good practice always save your show right after you finish recording it... It's also advisable to export as wav (or flac) as a backup.

Re: using Audacity and a Cronjob to create a scheduled recor
Now that have everything working great with scheduled recordings, there are three things I would like to do to streamline the process further to make it all as seamless as possible.. 1. Have the scheduled recordings take place without always having to open the Sound Preferences. I would like to jus...

Re: Editing MP3 tags
And while I'm at it - though may be it should be a question... in a stereo recording there is a very short bad section that I would like to "null" or set to zero and copy the audio from the other track to over-write this. Is there a way to do this? You'd probably get more (and faster) ans...

Re: Unable to open target file for writing
It would be good if we had some feedback for all those users... I'm assuming, from their silence, that they solved the problem. It would good to know what the problem was and how they solved it... Therefore, Helpme, corbokhan and jennder, we'd appreciate if you could give us some feedback wether you...

Re: no input sound?
When connecting external devices they need to be connected before opening Audacity. If you disconnect and reconnect a device while Audacity is running, the device will probably "disappear" from Audacity, you'll have to quit Audacity (Cmd-Q or quit from the menu) and reopen Audacity (with t...
