Re: File Menu Missing

That's a known problem with a gnome applet which name I don't remember now. It has been discussed here sometime ago, but I can't find the thread now... :(

But it's a gnome problem, not an audacity bug. I think the solution was to remove that gnome applet.

Re: 3.5mm mic's into mixer output to pc?

Hi! I've been following this thread with great interest. There's clearly a great deal of knowledge in audio hardware here. I'd like to present a possible software-only (almost) solution. Re: Audacity crashes if I try to import or open any audio fi

One thing that could also help giving some more info about the crash would be running Audacity from the command line and checking the error messages (if any). Assuming you followed the instruction for installing audacity on mac and you created a folder "Audacity" inside the "Applicati...

Re: Audacity doesn't recognise audio device

And it's very important that you connect your device to the computer before opening audacity!

Re: Burning CD

This is not really a forum issue, so I'm moving this to the Windows forum (you didn't specify which version you're using so I'm assuming 1.3.x).

Are you running Audacity from within the .dmg?
If not, where did you install it too and how?

Re: Noise Reduction Trick

I don't have aversion to alphas, but I usually have some "laziness" to anything that requires more than typing "apt-get install <whatever>" to install it 8-) (or dragging an icon from a .dmg to applications if i'm on mac :P)
