Here's where I am.. Did a complete uninstall of stable, including the registry. A (presumable) clean Install of 1.3.10. Still will not completely launch. I can see the process running. CPU cycles at 100%. Manually copied audacity.cfg to folder. I don't suppose there is a "safe mode" launch...

No audacity.cfg so I manually created one and placed it in /applications data/audacity/ , rebooted and... nada. Got the select language screen and that's it. Another symptom btw is that a launch attempt really hogs cpu time, maxing out at 100% . All the sound configs were already set to your recomme...

Since installing Cubase LE4 I have been unable to launch Audacity (Stable) or beta. I'm using the Presonus Firestudio Project w/Universal Control as an I/O.
