Re: Recording streaming or the sound outputs of other progra

Yes but its using the JACK for windows beta.... Thats why its really messy.... Anyway it would be great if Audacity could record streams (.pls) sites, VLC can open them (http: .... .pls), if Audacity could just take that coding to be able to open audio streams like VLC, no need to fofer all the inte...

Stream Recording

It seems almost impossible to record internet audio streams with Audacity. (on Windows) Here is 3 techniques I been working on, Hardware Technique The first require two computers, with one reading the stream, sending its line out in the other's line in with audacity recording the line in. The techni...

Re: Is Audacity compatible with Audio Technica USB turntable

I use old turntables to record, because once repaired, they give more sound quality than modern turntables (except for the very costy ones...) and I use line in instead of USB.

Sorry, I'm trying to record Streams using VLC via JACK in Audacity, I dont know how USB sends the signal.

Re: newbie-connecting to turntable

I connected my turntable AR 77 xb to a (yamaha cr-620) amplifier, then using output with a Y converter to audio wires to computer audio wire and sending in my Line-In. Its always a good idea to tell your turntable model when asking such questions. If its a modern model it probably got a usb connecti...

Re: Recording streaming or the sound outputs of other progra

Its still frustrating not being able to pass directly or by JACK to receive incoming data to record, in theory Firefox-VLC plugin to JACK to Audacity should work.

In big, this should work:
Firefox-VLC Plugin -> JACK -> (PortAudio) ->Audacity

Recording streaming or the sound outputs of other programs

A nice thing to have would be not to have to plug my speaker's output in Line-In to have web streaming radios recording. Yes JACK can do it, but on Windows it start being messy, it would be good to include some help content on audacity on JACK and how to do that, if it would be easier to pass by JAC...

Inter-operability with other opensource video/sound editors

I've been searching for different sound editor, sequencers, etc and video editor, that are open source... For a small example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_audio_editor which fail to add the audio/midi sequencers and interoperability with video editors, It has come to me than even Wikipedia ...
