Re: New Mixing Board... How do I--?
you probably cannot do that with a usb mixer, because usb connection is usually a solution to a bad soundcard or a cheaper way to connect to the computer. I personally think interfaces are pointless and a waste of money. Usually if a mixer separates its tracks like you want, it would most likely be ...

Re: records on left channel only
no, you just put it in stereo. the recording interface you use has a Left and right channel right? if you put it in mono, it will only record left or right, usually left. so you have to have audacity set to stereo. I had the same problem with my set up, because I would try and record over songs by p...

Re: recording speeds up?
I have also had this reverse latency problem, and it was my sound driver. even though i had everything in 4100, it still became off very slowly. I have absolutely no idea why my sound driver did this, but after uninstalling the update I had made a few minutes before recording, it worked fine.

Re: audacity projects sounding quiet compared to other music

audacity projects sounding quiet compared to other music
after exporting my music, it seems to be much quieter than other songs on my computer and the internet. I amplify everything as much as possible before it starts to crackle and pop, but I can't seem to get it up there. I record everything in 32bit floating point stereo so that I can get great soundi...
