Re: Format Error!
Gale, I tried the mp3 you fixed and it still says Format Error! The mp3 I took three seconds off the front works. Is there a tool in Audacity that can shave off seconds from a song? There are several buttons on the splash screen and I can't see what they mean. I changed the screen resolution bigger ...

Re: Format Error!
Gale, I downloaded the MP3 Repair Tool but I couldn't read the buttons at the bottom, even after changing my screen resolution, so I opened up Audacity and opened Manic Monday MP3 and managed to delete the first three seconds off of the start on the song, saved it, and I pasted it into my MP3 player...

Format Error!
I have one song that I have downloaded and exported to MP3 that when I try to play it on my MP3 player in my car I get a "Format Error!" message. I did everything the same as the other 200 songs and as far as I know this is the only one that does it. It is "Manic Monday." I have no problem when I pl...

Re: Before music starts
That was easy. I usually only have about two seconds in front of the music.
Thanks,

Before music starts
Can I add a few seconds of silence to the beginning of a recording after I have recorded it and made a WAV and MP3? Some times the recording starts too soon.
Thanks,
John B.

Re: ID3v1 - ID3v2
WC - It looks like the ID3 tags won't have any effect on the quality of the music. Thanks for the link.

ID3v1 - ID3v2
What is the difference between ID3v1 and Id3v2? I am set at ID3v2. The Spectrogram is at FFT Size of 256 and Maximum Hz is 8000 which I will change to 18000. I'm trying to fine tune my recordings.
Thank you,

Re: End of Downloads
I realized what I had done. I had the setting "Stereo Mix" selected for much of my downloading but then I saw "WAVE" was selected and it worked for a song or two. Having see that I switched it back to "Stereo Mix" and it stopped recording. Today I switched back to "WAVE" and I'm back in business. I ...

End of Downloads
I think I came to the end of my downloads because the songs are no longer being copied at such places as Lala, iLike, and Youtube. I get a straight line where once there was music. Do they know I'm there and want me to stop listening? I even tried to change user names. I also set dB mode to -96dB. A...
