Thanks for the reply. I figured as much and believe that Audacity creates extra .au files for "changes" to the project so once they're removed they're gone... oh well.

I currently run the latest unstable version of Audacity under Linux and just had Audacity crash on me in the middle of running the Amplify on my project. Loading up Audacity again resulted in it removing all the .au data files it had created. I still have the original .wav file that remained unchang...
