Try creating a preset for 2 seconds of silence, then select the preset as the "Parameters". (This works for me in Audacity 2.3.3 alpha, and I'm assuming that it will work the same in Audacity 2.3.2, but I don't have 2.3.2 handy at the moment.)

I'd suggest that you create your MIDI track in a program that has better MIDI support, for example you could try Reaper (unlimited demo, registration price around $60 last time I looked).

Yes it works with Mac. You have to "install" the plug-ins. If you are using Audacity 2.3.2, the instructions for installing "Nyquist plug-ins" are here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ins ... st_install
