How easy or difficult would it be to recreate this glare?
Surprise me. What does this have to do with Audacity?

Re: Disabling yellow Boundary Snap Guides

If I constantly have to zoom in to move a clip just slightly past the next clip How far past the next clip do you want to move it? Say the length of your project is 3 minutes and you are zoomed out to see the entire project. The snapping effect occurs within around 0.5 seconds of the edge of a clip...

So, I gather it would be best to not upgrade to Catalina?
If you want to use Audacity, then it is recommended to not update to Catalina yet.
If you want to use other audio software, then check their website before updating - many say "don't update yet".

Re: Catalina microphone issue with Audacity

If you think that you can downgrade safely, then I'd suggest doing that. You will still be able to update later when things have settled down.

Re: AI generated audio perhaps?

I doubt that Audacity will be developing AI generated audio. "Only" making a full featured audio editor is a huge job in itself.

Re: Multitrack copying

yes that's exactly what I'd like to do. Is that possible? Not in one go, you need an extra step. I'll call the projects "A" (the one we are copying from) and "B" (the one that we will paste into. In project A, select the three tracks. "Tracks menu > Mix > Mix and Render to ...

Re: Catalina microphone issue with Audacity

Scott549 , When you launch Audacity from the terminal, are you able to record? So I guess the question now is whether I should try to keep using Audacity with the Terminal trick, or restore my system to the previous OS. I think that depends on what else works / is broken, and how important Audacity ...

Re: Using menu : "file" "print", works or kill, depending on size

Don't think it's a good idea the zip is about 24 GB (9:30:00 recording) and contain "personnal datas" That's reasonable. Do you think that you might be able to produce a small test project that can reliably reproduce the problem? I've tried several prints, including spectrograms, but I've...

Re: Audacity crash (win 2.3.2)

Thank you for your report. I shall bring this to the attention of the Audacity developers, though I note that the vulnerability attack vector is said to be "Network", whereas Audacity should be used only on a local computer, and has no networking capability. The developer information for A...
