Hi, I am looking for a tool to show me the highest signal picks or picks. Please advice me.
There is now a plug-in for finding the highest peak: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=107174
Please provide feedback in that forum topic.

Find peak

While it is easy to find the peak level of a selection by opening the Amplify effect and looking at the default "Amplification (dB)" setting, it is sometimes useful to know where the peak occurs. This plug-in provides this functionality by adding a label to indicate the position of the hig...

Re: MP3 to MIDI export

MIDI is not "sound", it's a list of "commands" that tell an electronic instrument what to play. There's no direct way to convert audio into MIDI. There is some specialist (and usually quite expensive) software that can analyze audio, and create a MIDI file that follows the notes ...

Re: Can't seem to output single file multi-channel

For multi-channel file output, you need to enable "Use custom mix:" in Preferences. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/imp ... ences.html

Re: Error Dialogbox

Can I take it from USB or Firefox or Chrome adon not via the Audacity website? I don't understand what you are asking. If you want to download the current version of Audacity for Windows, visit this page (in your web browser) and follow the links to the file download: https://www.audacityteam.org/d...

Re: Matching different musics correctly

I can do it, after spending enormous amount of time. Is there an easy way of doing it? Not that I know of. PROVE THAT THIS FORUM IS NOT DEAD. Not dead. I suspect that the reason for the lack of replies is because there is no way to do what you are asking. I tried "SOLO" button, and someti...

Re: Plug-in Enabling Error (ill-formed Nyquist plug-in header)

It's probably a fault in the plug-in. Please attach the plug-in to your reply so that we can look at it. (See: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936)

Re: 'Unable to export' error message

As a workaround, you could export from Audacity to your Desktop, then move the exported file to the 2TB hdd. The problem that you are describing sounds like a permissions problem, but Audacity runs with the same permissions as the user, so if permissions are a problem for Audacity, they should also ...

Re: 'Unable to export' error message

OK, just recorded a 20min sample and exported it as a tagged mp3 to "Desktop" and to "Documents" with no error! That's good. We're narrowing down the problem. Are you able to manually copy a file to the folder on your 2TB hdd? (the same folder that you were trying to export to)

I have a separate HD for my music files.
Its a 2TB disc with 896GB free space.
and that is an internal drive, not a USB drive?

What happens if you export to your "Desktop" or "Documents" folder?
