Re: Audacity UI is complex and not intuitive

Multi-core support is something that the Audacity developer's want to add, but it's a big, complex job. The extensive code refactoring that has been done for Audacity 2.3.3 (not yet released) is likely to help smooth the way for multi-core support.

Re: Audacity UI is complex and not intuitive

Surprisingly, I received a rather terse reply which reads as follows.... Sounds like he didn't like your feedback. Audacity IS complex. It is a very powerful piece of software and has a great many features, but we endeavour to provide it with an interface that is "intuitive" and easy to u...

Do you know if all the sounds are royalty free? Below the download button for each of the sounds, you will usually see a statement similar to the image below, stating the license terms for that sound. cc-license.png In each case, the license mentioned links to the relevant page on https://wiki.crea...

The problem I have now is, I can cannot see the device on the recording devices bar.
Can you see any devices listed?
Did this work with your old version?
Did you connect the device before you launched Audacity? (you need to).

Re: 2.3.2 Audio Position

Usually it is 192kHz. So your signal is quantized to periods of just over 5.2 microseconds. Have you tried using a non-standard sample rate for the track, such as 200 kHz (5 μs intervals), or 1000 kHz (1 μs intervals)? If your system can handle that, then you could display the time in samples, and ...

Re: Not recognizing audio from turntable after Catalina Update

I'm having exactly the same issue. Even when I set my recording input source to ""Built-In Microphone," Audacity is not hearing anything. Unfortunately, it's not on the list of apps allowed access to the microphone, and I can't find any way to add it manually. See this post: https://...
