I assumed that exporting to signed 16-bit PCM uncompressed means that it doesn't do any, i'm not sure what you call it, maybe 'encoding' like mp3s would? MP3 (and similar) encode the audio data into a "compressed" format (which is why MP3 files are relatively small). WAV does not do that ...
