I notice on this page: https://mpesch3.de/index.html
that there was a fix in version 2.24: "Split bug fixed"
If you have a version of mp3DirectCut earlier than that, then perhaps the glitch is caused by that bug.

Re: An mp3 decoder artefact ?
after editing a mp3-file (with peak levels safely below 0 dB) on frame level with mp3DirectCut, I checked it visually with Audacity 2.1.2 and found a block with peak levels beyond 0 dB (~ +2.5 dB). Just a single frame of 1152 samples seems to be affected. For comparison I have decoded the mp3 also ...

Re: Audacity no appears in english in Mageia 7.1
Thanks for the report joselp. I see it is missing on my system too. I'm unsure why this is, so I've asked the developers and shall write again when I know more.

Re: RF64 with 4GB+ size is mistaken as WAV
Normal WAV files cut you off at 2GB. Special extended ones will get you out to 4GB. That's not correct. "Normal" WAV files cut you off at 4GB. This is because a normal WAV file uses 32-bit addressing and at 4GB the file runs out of unique addresses for the samples. Some systems (usually a...

Re: Cleaning up Line-Level to Mic-Level mistake?
The camera input was set to mic-level instead of line-level. The result is loud static. Is the "static" on the loud parts, or in the quiet parts? In either case, the damage is likely to be so bad that it can't be fully fixed, but if you post a short sample of the audio (in "WAV"...

Re: New User Completely Lost
I purchased the Behringer 222,,,,, was told that the 202 is silver and the 222 is red and that's the only difference... The 222 also has an "S/PDIF" output, but you don't need that. Apart from that (and the colour) they are the same. a lot of what I see on the tutorials and what I actuall...

Re: Trouble getting some files to open on Catalina - another workaround?
You are giving us very little information to go on. We can only provide help based on the information that you give us. Is Audacity launching reliably? going to File > Open Does that work? or finding the file save in Finder and opening from there. How, exactly? that was previously not working. In wh...

Re: Trouble getting some files to open on Catalina - another workaround?
So Audacity is launching reliably?
What kind of files are you trying to open, and how (precisely) are you doing that?

Re: "Equalizing" volume - and reading times
You can read exact times from the "Selection Toolbar" https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html I can only see "total" volume, not volume of each instrument. Anyway, some parts are too soft, some parts are too aloud. And I can "fix" this using envelope....

Re: Trouble getting some files to open on Catalina - another workaround?
What is the exact terminal command that you are using? Please give one example that is working for you, and one example that isn't.
