Re: Why does Audacity freeze?

Re: Bug: pan.ny should not use "int"

I'm guessing it reduces the panned-away side, leaving the panned-to side untouched. Yes, that's what it does. I think the disadvantage of this approach for stereo tracks, is that it isn't actually "panning", it's just adjusting the amount of left and right channels (sometimes referred to ...

Re: Noise Gate Enabled But Not Showing [Win 10 - Aud 2.3.2]

the audacity screen goes see through where the volume number should be.
I think this is due to a known bug in Audacity 2.2.1 (which is fixed in Audacity 2.3.3).

If you double click on the control, do you see a pop-up that allows you to enter a Pan / Gain value?

Re: Bug: pan.ny should not use "int"

Is there anything that can be done with this one?
No, it is totally corrupted. Nothing can be salvaged from that file.

Re: An mp3 decoder artefact ?

It is the result of a broken bitreservoir in the mp3-file. Personally, I'd call that a bug. Perhaps it's a "limitation" rather than a real "bug", but a broken bit reservoir certainly isn't an intended "feature". All mp3-decoders should incorporate this fix. That may be...

Many of these navigation suggestions might be outdated as of the end of 2019.
Yes, that's because this thread was started 9 years ago. Replying to ancient dead threads is unhelpful because it brings obsolete information into the list of active topics.
