Re: Strange display of Audio Tracks

But when I capture audio from my cassette deck through an EasyDay DC60 Video Capture Adapter, the audio tracks display incorrectly. You know how a waveform normally weaves back and forth between positive values and negative values (up and down from the 0.0 center line). Instead of the waveform goin...

Re: Weird thing on Spectral edit Ver 2.3.1

With these in mind, would it be OK if I change the title of this thread to something like.."Questions & ideas about Spectral editing"? I'd suggest that you do a bit more digging into the code, try writing some Nyquist code that uses the "spectral" selection, then start a new...

Re: ✓ Converting point labels to regions

I had that idea in mind too, but I suck at Nyquist, so I tried something that I think I know slightly better. Sure, no problem. Re: Weird thing on Spectral edit Ver 2.3.1

What would the minimum fade times be to avoid a click? The longer the transition, the quieter the transition will be, but obviously you would usually want to keep it as short as possible. In effect, the transition is like a low frequency, low amplitude pulse. The longer the fade, the lower the freq...

Re: Installing Effects :

none of my Effects show up on my Effects list. No effects at all? Not even the built-in effects such as "Amplify", "Fade In", "Fade Out"...? Check in "Preferences > Effects" and ensure that all available effect types are enabled, as shown here: https://manual...

Re: Weird thing on Spectral edit Ver 2.3.1

The "smearing" is due to a short crossfade at the start and end of the selection.
The crossfade is created automatically by the effect so as to avoid creating an audible click at the start / end of the filtered section.

Re: About seting new volume

If I do "Effects" and "Amplifie", it takes a lot longer than "Effects" and "Normalize". That's surprising. For me, Normalize takes longer than Amplify, which is what I would expect because (by default) Normalize does DC offset correction as well as amplifying...
