Re: Crashes when closing project
I'm not able to reproduce the problem with Audacity 2.3.2 or 2.3.3 alpha, but I'll try running 19.10 in Virtualbox to see if I can reproduce it there.
Is Jack audio system running on your computer?
Does the problem still occur if you set Audacity to use Jack?

Re: Is it possible to create audio map of volume?
I assume that you are aware that Windows XP is obsolete, no longer supported by Microsoft, and any bugs or security vulnerabilities will not be fixed.

Re: Cursor control issue
Audacity 2.3.3 is due to be release very soon. Unfortunately there was not time to fix the Catalina problems in Audacity 2.3.3, but we are hoping to release Audacity 2.4.0 about 3 months after 2.3.3, and we hope to have the Catalina problem solved in 2.4.0.

Re: Is it possible to create audio map of volume?
In Nyquist you can very easily convert between dB and linear values. Try these in the Nyquist Prompt: (print (db-to-linear -24)) (print (linear-to-db 0.125)) Note that as we are dealing with signals, dB are negative with reference to "full scale" (0dB = full scale). Thus, in the equation 1...

Re: no file dialog when exporting - cannot export
It would appear that something in your security settings is blocking Audacity from accessing storage.
