Re: Isolate vocals from trailer
Is there anyway by using audacity to get that 1970s voice without the background music? The sound track in that video appears to be mono. Audacity's tool for "voice isolation" requires stereo sound, and even then it can only isolate the vocal if it is panned in the centre of the stereo mi...

Re: Best Settings for Podcast AND light files?
I should add that my background is in hardware engineering and looking for possible optimisations when designing hardware is advantageous. Just for fun, I've got an analogy from mechanical engineering: Let's say that you have a milling machine set up to make a gear with 200 teeth. The milling machi...

Re: Export Multiple: incorrect output - file names not numbered correctly
The file should be named by combining the track number from the metadata with the track title from the metadata. OK I see. That is the way that you would have designed Audacity, but it is not the way that the feature was designed. This is not a "bug", it is a disagreement about how Export...

Re: Error Opening Project - Could Not Load Project
It looks like you've moved the project's ".AUP" file inside the project's "_data" folder. You must not do that. See here for how to handle Audacity projects safely: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/aud ... jects.html

Re: 2 bugs in Tags for export
I've tested loading that template, and setting it as the default, in Audacity 2.2.1, 2.3.1, abd 2.3.3 alpha. In each case it worked as expected.
Please take me through, step by step, how to reproduce the problem.

Re: Using Samson G Track Pro Mic Disables Mic Input Level Adjustement
Mostly you would use Audacity's default settings, except for changing the number of recording channels to "1 channel (mono)". Probably the biggest challenge for recording quality, is finding a suitable place to record. It needs to be very quiet, and substantially free of echoes / reverbera...
