Re: Why no 32-bit integer support?
It is 32-bit. Given that the best possible noise floor with this device is -124dB, that means that for each sample value, you get 24-bits of audio, and 8 bits of noise. That's probably better than most 24-bit chips which generally give around 22 bits of audio and 2 bits of noise. If you record as 3...

is the multiple exort a way to export track by track ? (even labels) Export Multiple is for audio tracks (only). why not exporting labels tracks in CSV naming each line his track name, then labels data ? Label export has been part of Audacity for many years, and in all that time it has exported to ...

Re: 2.3.3 Regression - Selection Tool Lag when Dragging Cursor
No change with those settings unfortunately. That's a shame, but at least now that you have the default Quality set to 32-bit float, you won't be unnecessarily degrading the audio quality. What sort of computer are you using? (make and model number, and if you can find them, also the computer speci...

Re: M4A file import issue
The FFmpeg version number is F(55.33.100),C(55.52.102),U(52.66.100). Good, that means that FFmpeg is properly installed and is seen by Audacity. I have an old version of iTunes and the only way I can "export" a file is to drag-and-drop it onto the desktop. I don't use iTunes, but I think ...

Re: M4A file import issue
My understanding is that if I install the FFmpeg library then Audacity should import an M4A file. With a supported version of FFmpeg, Audacity "may" support M4A files, but M4A is a "container format" rather than a specific codec. Whether or not an M4A can be read by FFmpeg depen...

Re: 2.3.3 Regression - Selection Tool Lag when Dragging Cursor
In Audacity "Edit menu > Preferences > Quality", set the default sample rate to 44100, and the default sample format to 32-bit float. In that project, set the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity screen) to 44100, and change the sample format of each track to 32...

Re: Best Settings for Podcast AND light files?
Have you considered using the Opus codec Opus is a terrific compressed audio format, but unfortunately it is not supported "out of the box" by Windows Media Player, iTunes, Groove music app or Spotify, which are some of the most widely used computer audio players. It's hard for a new podc...
