Re: Audacity 2.3.3 Running Windows 8 Version on a Windows 10 Computer

Audacity does not fully support high dpi, and some of the graphics are small bitmaps (a limitation of the GUI toolkit that Audacity uses). I don't have a 4k monitor for testing, but there are some suggestions here about blurry apps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4091364/windows-10-fix-blu...

Re: Tips for noise reduction

Those links are asking for an encryption key.

For this kind of question I would recommend attaching short audio samples in WAV format. See here how to post an audio sample to the forum: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=72887

Re: recording youtube audio

if there might be some simple ways to clean up the sound No, there isn't. That recording has already had noise reduced about as much as possible - any more and it will start to sound worse. Re: Problems with recording

In the "Transport menu > Transport options", ensure that "Software Playthrough" is off (not selected).

Re: Poor sound using Zoom H1N as USB mic

The sound is fine when recording to the H1N, but when I run it into Audacity as a USB mic, the sound is "tinny" and lacks any low end. Are you sure that Audacity is picking up the H1N and not your laptop's built-in mic? Try gently tapping your fingernail on the microphone guard of the H1N...

Re: How to balance recording en-mass

I am running into the personal issue where sometimes I speak too loud or speak too quietly. I am uncertain what function I should use to balance it. If you are looking to produce professional quality voice recordings (for example, audiobooks), you need to fix the problem at source - practice mainta...

I was looking at them as Audacity installed in Windows 8 compatibility when I downloaded it.
You're not telling me something. What do you mean "Audacity installed in Windows 8 compatibility"? Where, why, how did you see that?
What was the original problem?
