Re: How to cut amplitude?

Audacity's "Distortion" effect is a waveshaper: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/distortion.html

Also, the "Hard Clipping" and "Soft Clipping" options in the "Limiter" effect are waveshapers: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/limiter.html

Re: Error Opening file - Could not locate project data

I renamed and moved both my aup file and the audacity folder that ended with _data. That's not going to work. To make the project work again you will need to change the names back to their original names. If you can't remember the original name, send us the .aup file and I'll be able to tell you th...

The basic prob...

I think the problem is in the size of this file( 1,13GB )
That is very large for an MP3 file. When imported into Audacity it is decoded into uncompressed audio data, which will be very much larger.

Please describe what happens in more detail.
Also, check the file(s) at this web page to see if they really are MP3 files: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline

You will need the vc_redist.x86.exe version from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -downloads
