Re: Clipping issue. DJ mixer>Behringer UCA222>Macbook Pro
Is the 202 better? Or just an older model? The 202 came out first, and is in a grey plastic case, and is a few dollars cheaper (list price). The 222 came out later, is in a pink plastic case, has more software included, and costs a few dollars more. Those are the only differences that I'm aware of....

Re: Record Auto Stop
Ensure that you have the latest version of Audacity (currently Audacity 2.3.3). You can get it via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
You referred to an 'equalization' effect I can't find anywhere. It's now called "Filter Curve" and it's now become easier to use (no need to set a "Size" parameter - that's now automatic). https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/filter_curve.html In the next version of Audacity it w...

Re: Why does audacity stop recording at the end of the previously recorded track?
How do I do that? You probably shouldn't. It works in some versions of Audacity but not others. I don't think it's ever been an official "feature", though it's been useful to me in versions where it has worked. The more reliable way to set a timed recording is to use the "Timer Recor...

The UCA-202 is an older model. It's not yet discontinued as far as I'm aware, but the newer UCA-222 is more likely to be in stock at your favourite retailer.

Re: presetting recording parameters
Are there plans to adapt Audacity for ASIO? Audacity is open source software. That means that the source code (all of it) is freely available to all, and that is guaranteed for all time by the GPL license. ASIO is closed source and is owned by Steinberg. It may be used at no cost, provided that the...

Re: Punch and Roll doesn't work on RPi 4
The Audacity developers do not build packages for Linux distributions. That's done by the "package maintainers" of that distribution.
In the case of Ubuntu, the Audacity package maintainer is "Ubuntu MOTU Developers".
