Re: Increase silince interval in a track.

There's a "Trim/Extend" plug-in here: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Trim_.2F_Extend That is a "Nyquist Plug-in". Installation instructions: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_effect_generator_and_analyzer_plug_ins_on_windows.html#nyquist_i...

To me, the default of pressing The Red Button seems like it should be
to record into the current or highlighted track,
That is the default in the current (2.3.3) version of Audacity.

Re: HELP! can't record multiple tracks

You need to set the Roland Rubix as the recording and playback device in the " Device Toolbar ". The "host" setting will probably need to be set to "MME". Go into the Windows Sound control panel, and ensure that the Roland Rubix is set to the same sample rate (preferabl...

As a result, the audio is fluctuating in volume (pumping effect?). Is there a way to correct this?
It is very difficult to fix that problem. You may be able to make some improvement using the "Envelope Tool", but it won't be perfect.

when the audio is imported into Audacity from the SD card
Does it import as a mono track, or as a stereo track?
A stereo track has two waveforms, one above the other, like this:

the recording trace on both channels is only at approximately 50%
I assume that you are referring to the peak height of the blue waveform, in which case 50% is perfectly OK.

Re: 2 LH channels or 2 RH channels

couldn't find any reference to number of channels Click on the "Microphone, USB Codec" icon to select it Click the "Properties" button. You should now see a pop-up window with 4 tabs. Click on the "Advanced" tab. You should now see in the "Default Format" sec...

Re: saving file formats wrong

what's confused me is the 32bit floating that appears in the window at the side of the wave file in Audacity that says 32bit floating I agree that's a bit confusing. Personally I'd like that to be removed. Audacity works internally in 32-bit float format, so to avoid unnecessary conversions, by def...

Will you please post a giant notice when this happens?
If you do facebook or twitter, you can follow us (links at top of page). The release will be announced there, as well as on the front page of the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/

Re: 2 LH channels or 2 RH channels

The only thing I've found that looks a bit iffy is the attached. What do you think? Your turntable is listed as "Microphone, USB Codec". Click on it to select it, then click the "Properties" button. A window will pop up, and somewhere in there it says the number of channels. I'm...
