Thanks again to steve!!! This was the macro tutorial I needed.
You're welcome. It would have been a lot easier if we hadn't encountered that bug, but at least the bug is now logged on the bug tracker.

Re: Synchro

Set the number of required channels with the slide at the bottom of the "Advanced Mixing Options" screen.
Then link which tracks you want to go into which channels.

In this example:
Tracks 1 & 2 go to channel 1
Tracks 3 & 5 go to channel 2
Tracks 4 and 6 go to channel 3

only 4 GB Ram memory
I'd suggest that you make the most of that by shutting down all non-essential applications and processes when working with Audacity.
Check to see what apps are set to start up on boot/log-in, and if they are not essential, disable them from auto-start.

Re: Synchro

I need to know if it's possible to make a file (.wave) with 3 channels on the same file. Yes it is. You need to enable "Advanced Mixing Options" in Preferences. "Edit menu > Preferences > Import / Export > Use Advanced Mixing Options: ☑" See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/...

Re: Macro selection help for crossfading multiple audio clips

Congratulations, you've uncovered a bug in Audacity. You can work around it by changing the second line of the Macro to: TruncateSilence:Action="Truncate Detected Silence" Compress="50" Independent="0" Minimum="0.001" Threshold="-60" Truncate="0...

Does temporarily turning off McAfee make any difference? (remember to turn it back on again after testing).

Re: Dragging and protecting improvements

When I attempt to drag over tracks in a window, if the mouse accidentally enters - even momentarily - another window, then those tracks are highlighted - and they stay highlighted even if the drag ends back in the original track window. That doesn't happen for me. If I start dragging from, say, tra...

It only offers me....channels 1-2 or 3-4...
Have you tried changing the "host" in the Device Toolbar?
Do any of the "host" options provide more than 2 channels?
