I have also updated the original download link to the plugin.
Oops, you've also added ".txt" to the file name.

Re: Some basic Audacity questions

Forgive me if my questions below are too basic for this group. No problem. Any questions about how to use Audacity effectively are appropriate, no matter how big or small or complex or simple. 1. If I am editing one audio track, how do I keep the others in sync when I add time or edit out time from...

Re: AutoSave

No there isn't, but you can save a backup copy of your work at any time except during recording: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/file_menu_save_project.html On large projects, saving can take a significant amount of time, so auto-save would be quite annoying in cases where it would be most benef...

Re: Recording randomly stops

I am having a similar problem. The program is showing (not responding) often. It has been doing this for about a week. Is this happening only when recording (as in the original post)? Are you using English Windows, or another language? Which version of Audacity are you using? (For future reference:...

If ;maxlen SomeValue is used in one plugin, does it become the new default for all plugins (until updated) or does it only apply to the specific plugin?
Only the specific plug-in.
The same is true for all other "header comments".

Re: breaking an mp3 into parts by detecting silence as breakpoint

One way is to export label to a text file the use some tool like ffmpeg to make small mp3 files . I will have to write a script that takes time from text file and creates mp3 . Is this possible using audacity ? "Export Multiple" (based on Labels). If you've not already labelled the silenc...

Re: Download or resident?

Perhaps you're trying to run Audacity directly from the DMG without installing it. Perhaps you have an unofficial version of Audacity that is downloading malware. The correct place to get the official (safe) version of Audacity for Mac is here: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ Installation...

Re: Error message when importing mp3-file

If you have "FFmpeg for Audacity" installed, try selecting "FFmpeg compatible files" in the Import filter.
(see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/imp ... audio.html)

Re: Setting default zoom when opening WAV files

Why have you not said that you dislike new Microsoft devices from the very beginning? Because my opinion of new Microsoft devices has nothing to do with the situation. The vast majority of people working in open source software are volunteers who work on projects in their spare time. It is unrealis...

And thank you to the person/people that made that decision.
It gives Audacity so much more versatility.
That was Dominic Mazzoni and Professor Roger Dannenberg - Audacity's founders.
I'm also really glad that they did :ugeek:
