24-bits with an offset of 1
I think it needs an offset of 2.

Re: Double Tracking Vocal Ideas (during recording or after)

How about recording yourself twice (as mono tracks) and then pan them?

If you want them more similar than that, you could duplicate the recorded track, apply a small amount of "Change Pitch" effect to the copy, and then use the Time Shift tool so that they don't exactly align.

Re: Does Audacity 2.3.3 have function to smooth sound?

It already looks fairly smooth. What's the purpose? (What are you trying to achieve, and why?)

Re: Why is the Nyquist plug-in SETrms not working?

The next release of Audacity will (probably) include an effect that can normalize to a specified RMS.
In the meantime I agree with Trebor's recommendation: viewtopic.php?p=325078#p325078

I want to continue an existing one.
Click on the track that you want to record to, and press "R" (or click the Record button).
Note that the "number of channels" selected in the "Device toolbar" should match the number of channels in the selected track.

the other being Simple Amplifier
Audacity does not have an effect called "Simple Amplifier". That may be a plug-in, but it's not part of any Audacity release.

So, can I run v2.1.1 on my non-intel PPC on OS 10.4.11
I think not, but it's a free download so you can try if you want to.

Is there a way we can be notified when the next version of Audacity compatible with Mac Catalina is released?
Yes, you can follow Audacity on facebook or twitter (links at top of page).
