Re: sox resampler with more options

i guess audacity under windows does use sox as resampler Audacity uses "soxr" for resampling (on all platforms). This is the same resampling library as used in SoX. is there a way to have more option when I resample from 96k or 48k to 44.1k? No. There are only the 4 preset options (plus t...

Re: Audacity Clean Dark Theme

Хочу скачать файл темной темы для программы, а переходя по ссылке выдает 404 ошибку? Поделитесь файлом кому не жалко! There is a dark theme included in Audacity 2.3.3. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/themes.html The theme file for the first post in this topic appears to have been removed. ...

They are connected with a cable.
USB, or mini-jack, or something else?

Is there anyway to clear the metadata on multiple files at once, so I can bulk export them ?
Before starting the export:
Open the Metadata Editor from Audacity's "Edit" menu.
Click the "Clear" button, then "OK".

Re: After crash, cannot finish startup until logout&logon

also often I see audacity complaining about the lock-file, When Audacity runs, it creates a file /var/tmp/audacity- <user-name> /audacity-lock- <user-name> (where <user-name> is your user name) That file is to ensure that there is only one instance of Audacity running at a time. The file is normall...

Okay, what kind of software ?
Mac software usually use AU plug-ins rather than VST.
VST plug-ins are more commonly supported on Windows.

Re: avformat-55.dll is being ignored

Fact is, you don't have to copy avformat-55.dll into the program folder, but ALL THE FILES contained in the ffmpeg zip file (that's embarassing), but that is mentioned NOWHERE (this makes me a little bit angry). I guess that when you viewed the page https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_an...

Re: avformat-55.dll is being ignored

Shut down Audacity and restart it.
Then go to "Help menu > Diagnostics > Show Log"
Save the log somewhere convenient, then attach it to your reply.

Re: Anti virus preventing audacity startup

I tried that the first time you told me and it didn't update. That will be a problem, because Audacity requires it. I have never been able to find the portable version on the audacity site. The "Zip" version of Audacity may be used as a "portable" version. You just need to downl...

Re: Anti virus preventing audacity startup

api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. You need to update Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable. You can get it from Microsoft here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads You need the "x86: vc_redist.x86.exe" vers...
