Re: exporting to (external application)

Just export it as a WAV file, and then import the WAV file into Sound Studio.

Other apps, including YouTube and Reaper work fine with the speakers
In that case, just set the playback device to "Sound Mapper" in the Device Toolbar https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html

Re: 2 Remote Podcast Recordings, 2 different final length

I would think that Effect > Change Speed is the most correct method to use. After all, if a recording is played back at a different rate than it was recorded at (such as recording at 44100.01 and playing back at 44100.00), then both its length and its pitch will change by the same amount but in opp...

I have WAV files of entire sides of albums. How can I split the file into separate tracks, one per song?

Re: Fact forwarding a Song.

If you zoom out so that you can see the entire track (Ctrl + F), then you can simply stop playback (spacebar), click on the waveform where you want to fast forward to, then restart playback (spacebar).

Re: Selecting volume tool or stop playing makes audacity hang

it often hangs when it's playing and I stop it by hitting the space bar. This is a known problem. It occurs when running Audacity with PulseAudio. I generally work around this bug by selecting appropriate "hw" options in the Device Toobar (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolba...

Re: RMS normalize plugin

And, just to be clear, then, Nyquist Macros are scriptable, have functions, and allow you to create loops and logical (if/then) branches? Yes. "Nyquist" is a small, but well featured programming language. It has all of the looping / branching / conditional logic features that you would ex...

Re: Export Multiple Clearing Metadata ?

Is there anyway using a marco to export multiple files and clear the metadata ? No. You need to clear the metadata yourself, and then export. I don't know what your use case is, but given that Audacity's support for handling metadata is quite limited, perhaps it would be easier to use a dedicated m...

Is it possible to translate audio words pre-recorded in audio into the range from 14 to 20 Hz?
You could slow it down ("Change Speed" effect), or change the pitch ("Change Pitch" effect).
Note that speakers / headphones do not generally go down to such a low frequency.
