"String Freeze" is scheduled for March 1st. That's the cut-off date for code changes that affect GUI or translatable strings.
Shortly after that will be "code freeze", which is when we enter a testing and fixing only stage prior to releasing the next version.

That's a bug in Audacity 2.3.3. It has been fixed in the next release version.

I'm unsure of which file is causing the issue That makes it more difficult, but still possible. an I open the autosaved files directly from this folder instead of opening them via automatic crash recovery? Try resetting the Audacity Preferences. To do that, run the Audacity installer, and select "Reset Preferences" when that option appears.

Are you able to find the "AutoSave/" folder? On Windows I think it's in
"Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\audacity\"

Have you made a note of the name of the project that crashes?
