Re: Plot Spectrum: Lower amplitude limit

I assume that you are referring to "Plot Spectrum", so I have changed the topic title accordingly.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the auto-scaling. I would much prefer that it simply defaulted to the last used size and allowed the user to scale as they wish.

Re: Temporary Files Directory

If you are using the version from https://portableapps.com/, we don't make that version. That's a repackaged version.

The preferences option allows me to change it,
After changing it, what exactly does it say in the "Location" field?
The temp folder must exist.

Re: Is Force export to mono not the best practice? (kozikowski comment)

Best practice for audiobooks is to record in mono. If you do that, it doesn't matter if "force mono" is selected or not because the audio is already mono. If I don't check 'Force export to mono' will it still be mono? If the project is mono, then the exported file will be mono, regardless ...

Re: Resizing tracks not saved

But I don't have time to read through all of the Nyquist instructions You don't need to read through a lot of instructions to install and use that plug-in. Installation is very easy if you use the "Nyquist Plug-in Installer" (ignore the part about installing manually): https://manual.auda...

Re: Russian manual

Currently there are only a handful of pages translated into Russian, and I expect that those pages are massively out of date: https://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/m/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=%2Fru&fulltext=Search A good starting point for a new translation would be the "To...

Steve - Does this bug exist in 2.3.2?
I think it's only in 2.3.3. It's fixed in 2.4.0 which is due for release soon.
Does the plug-in that I made for you not provide a suitable workaround until 2.4.0 becomes available?

It is also possible to save both intermediate and final files as FLAC (a lossless format that takes 2x less space than wav).
You can "Export" as FLAC. (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/fil ... ialog.html)

Re: Sample interpolation plotting options

This track is showing 572 samples.

Linear interpolation looks fine at that zoom level, but that is dependent on the waveform. For example, this track (around 500 samples):

should look more like this:

I've been able to save the majority of what was left in limbo.
Super :)

Unfortunately there are a few files that appear as 'empty' (I've attached a screenshot), I'm assuming these are unrecoverable?
I expect so.
