The next version of Audacity has a "current time" display that may be positioned separately from the main Audacity window, and resized up to about double size.

That's the first thing that strikes me as very peculiar. Is your computer set up for a non-English locale?

It is much easier and safer to transfer audio files (WAV, Flac, MP3,...) than Audacity Projects. Can you hear the input if you plug your headphones into the UMC202HD?
Are you using Input 1 or input 2 on the UMC202HD (or both) ? If only one, use "input 1".
