Re: moving multiple tracks left / right

Sometimes it is easier to press "Ctrl+A" (Select All), and then de-select the bits that you don't want selected.

Re: moving multiple tracks left / right

Select all of the tracks that you want to move (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/aud ... ction.html)
Then drag with the Time Shift tool, from with a selected audio clip (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tim ... _tool.html)

Get one of the files that works correctly, and use this web page to analyze it: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline
Copy and paste all of the results into your reply.

Repeat with one of the files that does not work correctly.

Let's see what the difference is.

Re: Error -9997 Invalid sample rate (not what it seems)

I should have mentioned this part already. I'm using WASAPI, but that's the only host that gives me the proper recording input to get my computer audio. The recording input I use under WASAPI is labelled "Focusrite USB (Focusrite USB Audio) (loopback)" :D Yes, it would have helped if you ...

Re: Error -9997 Invalid sample rate (not what it seems)

Which "host" setting is selected in the Device Toolbar (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html)
The default is "MME", which is usually the most compatible, but with an oddball problem like this it could be worth trying all options.

Re: Is it possible to normalise multiple clips separately on a single track?

@steve, you recommend still manually selecting each clip and running the same procedure each time, rather than against the whole track (as is outlined in the guide)? Re: Projects not opening in Catalina

Double-clicking on AUP files won't work with current or past versions of Audacity on Catalina due to this issue: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/#sysreq

The next Audacity release will (hopefully) be fully supported by Catalina.

For what it's worth, this is what the beginning of the pluginsettings.cfg file looks like:
Does this ring any bells for you?

Re: Error -9997 Invalid sample rate (not what it seems)

It looks like ASIO has grabbed exclusive access to the Scarlett.

Have you tried rebooting the computer?
If the problem still occurs after a reboot, you may need to stop the Focusrite settings app from loading on boot (and then reboot again).

Re: Crash when trying to export

Your "pluginsettings.cfg" file is corrupt. I don't know if that is the cause of the problem, or just an indication of some other problem (such as disk errors). The pluginsettings.cfg file will need to be deleted. 1) Close Audacity if it's open. 2) Locate the pluginsettings.cfg file. It is ...
