Re: add key bindings to shift label start/end time ±50ms
Probably the easiest way at present is: Moving 50 ms later: Click on the label track after the last label "Shift + Home" "Ctrl+X" In the "Selection Toolbar" , set the start time to 50ms. "Ctrl+V" Moving 50 ms earlier: Select 50ms in the label track before the ...

Re: Any way to export:M4A/AAC in a chain?
What is the current status of this request? You can export as M4A with the "Export2" command, but you have to supply the full file name and file path, so it is not suitable for batch processing with a simple Macro. Probably the best, or at least the easiest solution for now, is to export ...

Re: best filter for hollow sound
the .xml EQ file posted in this forum? If you are referring to the XML file in this post: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=315031#p315031 that's not likely to be helpful for you as it was made (by Trebor) for the specific recording posted by newmarket2. The EQ effects in Audacity 2.3....

Re: Permissions for local manual?
As I wrote, the browser (any browser: FF, Chrome, Opera) won't load it, but the text editor will. By this I did mean double-clicking, and not accessing it via Audacity itself. Via Audacity, I get the 'View the manual on-line' window. Having powered down the machine, and therefore restarted Audacity...

Re: Audacity 2.3.3 initiates Quit during long unattended recordings
I use Audacity to make long, unattended recordings from a streaming app into Soundflower into Audacity. The streams are about 2 hours in most cases. I start recording, then make periodic progress checks. Once I see the stream has ended, I stop recording and save the project for later edits. Is ther...

Interesting experiments.
Do you have a practical purpose in mind? (a portable multi-track recorder?)
Have you tried using Jack? I've read that Jack can be used on the Pi, though I've never tried it myself.

Re: Audacity 2.3.3 initiates Quit during long unattended recordings
Please check the Audacity version number. If it really is "2.2.3" then something is very wrong.

Re: Audacity no sound
Are you using ASIO or ASIO4All? Audacity does not support ASIO (unless built from the source code with Steinberg's proprietary ASIO library). If you use either ASIO or ASIO4All, you need to ensure that they are not running when you want to use Audacity, otherwise they will grab exclusive control of ...
