Re: Possible BUG with Audacity 2.3.3

It is a bug. It has now been fixed and the fix will be available in the next Audacity release (scheduled for around the end of April).

Re: Audacity 2.3.3 initiates Quit during long unattended recordings

I'm guessing that if you leave your Mac switched on and unattended, with no applications running, it will shut down within a couple of hours. Please test and let us know what happens.

Re: lower pitch, dropouts after crash

Check the "sample rate" in the Windows Sound settings, in both the "Recording" and "Playback" tabs, and ensure that they are both set to 44100 Hz (44.1 kHz).

Are you sure that it works for a single point just as for a region ??
Yes. I've just tested with Audacity 2.3.3 on Windows 10 Home.

Re: Importing audio ffmpeg libraries not being read.

I'm just editing some audio at the moment and really can't re-record anything. At parts the audio is too loud and goes into the red part of the playback meter. And when it hits the red all the words get a horrible staticy sound to them. Is there an effect to put on that bit of audio reduce this eff...

Re: Jumping to Specific Point in Track

I've just tested with the current version (Audacity 2.3.3) and it works.
Note that playback must be stopped when storing the selection / cursor position.

If you have an older version of Audacity, you can get the current version via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Re: red triangle on additional tracks

Go to the Windows Sound settings and set the devices that you are using to a sample rate of 44100, in both the Playback tab and the Recording tab.
Ensure that the setting "stick" (are not reset to other values by Windows). Then restart Audacity.

Re: Merging tracks that are already positionally in the right place

I'd suggest that you split it into 5 minute sections and have one Audacity project per section. In each section, work from left to right so that adding / removing new clips in the same track does not disturb other clips. Aim to keep the number of tracks down to 4 or 5 per project. I think you will f...

Re: Merging tracks that are already positionally in the right place

This should help visualize what I'm trying to do. What is the recording? How long is that recording? What are the little clips after the first stereo track? Are those clips all the same? I did this so I could copy and past track at the beginning of each clip with 'sync-lock Tracks' on to make sure ...

Re: Realtime tempo modification

Please add my vote to this feature Vote added. I have two 2-hour recordings from a self-contained Tascam lavalier mic during a shoot. I guess I should have started a stopwatch and written down when we filmed different takes of each shot. I have to review the whole thing to select the right bits for...
