"Round", not "truncate", ok?
Yes. Round to nearest integer.
By convention, the tie=breaker rule is that .5 rounds up, but it is extremely unlikely that you will see a value of .500000

Re: Exporting lables as sample position

Assuming that your sample rate is 48kHz or less, there are enough digits that you can simply multiply the floating point time values and round to the nearest integer and it will be sample accurate. I presume that you are aware that Windows XP is obsolete and no longer receives security fixes for any...

Re: Possible fake Website?

That German site distributes malware. They are also in breach of Audacity's registered trademark. Avoid that site.
The genuine Audacity website is: https://www.audacityteam.org/

and it's worth noting that applying this effect processes the audio (it modifies the sample values), so dither should be enabled.

Re: No Audio Int Win10

On Audacity, I can see the audio playing in the meter, but it does not pay to my speakers or headphones. I assume that you are recording from a microphone. How is it attached to the computer? Where are your headphones plugged in? I assume that you can see a blue wiggly waveform in the track, and th...

Cut / Paste / Delete / Append / Repeat ... are "edits" rather than "processing". Amplify / Reverb / Normalize / Equalization ... are "processing". Edits do not change the values of the audio samples, but processing does. If the audio is processed, then the output will (...

Updated to v.2.3.3
Will that fix it?
Probably not. The problem is most likely to be due to a bug in the sound card driver.
Check on your computer manufacturer's website to see if more recent drivers are available.

Re: Running Audacity 2.3.3 on Mac Sierra 10.12.6 Need help to fix Error Locking Temporary Folder.

The "Error Locking Temporary Folder" issue is probably because Audacity was previously shut down incorrectly. This can happen if the computer is shut down while Audacity is still running, or if there is a crash of some sort. The next version of Audacity takes additional steps to resolve pr...

Re: Bit-for-bit exporting of AIFFs

I understand I am going very in-depth with this but I am trying to make the ripping process worthwhile because I spend a lot of money on rare CDs. Every time I hear the pop sounds, I get irked. Is there no way to make a bit-perfect edit? DVDdoug has already given the answer. Set "Dither" ...
