Re: [Query]Upgraded to Knoppix 8.6.1 with Audacity 2.2.2

The old leveller effect has been discontinued, but there is a "Leveller" preset in the "Distortion" effect that can produce identical results as the discontinued effect: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/distortion.html If you want a clean "limiting" effect, then I'd ...

Re: CALF not working anymore

Seems to work OK for me with Xubuntu 18.04 LTS, Audacity 2.3.3 (release version) and Calf 0.0.60-5 (Ubuntu repository version).

Re: Meeting ACX Check makes my audio sound overdriven

I'm not interested in correcting a bad performance. That's damage mitigation and not a job for simple mastering. Right. For "simple mastering", the two steps "RMS Normalize -> Limiter" should be fine. If we need damage limitation, then don't use the Limiter when there are a lot ...

Re: Imposible to record.

Try setting "host" to "MME" and the recording device to "Stereo Mix" in the "Device Toolbar" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html)

Re: Aup file doesn´t find tracks of data folder

Thanks. It's generally considered best to avoid dots in file names, other than the dot before the file extension. The dots probably won't be a problem in this case, but in some situations they can be a problem. According to the AUP file, the project's data file should be called: " demo3..valmis...

Re: Meeting ACX Check makes my audio sound overdriven

RMS Normalize set at -20db. I ran ACX-Check to see the peak at 1.78db You can see the consolidated track and then I ran the roll-off, then the RMS Normalize. -Synapse001 Judging by the screenshot, I'd expect the Limiter to be able to handle that small amount of "over 0 dB" without noticea...
