Re: Is it possible to sync one audio file to another?
The second tracks looks badly overloaded. How does it sound in that section 16:00 to 17:40?

Re: low record level; headphones not monitoring
I bought a USB interface to take the audio output from my amplifier and insert a signal to be recorded in my laptop What's the make and model? Does it have a headphone socket? 2) I can't use the headphones for monitoring whilst recording, but they work perfectly to review a recording. If your USB i...

Re: working with .aup vs .mp3
Audacity projects are complex, with many (sometimes thousands) of separate files.
A normal audio file is just a single file, and so is easier to handle safely. WAV and FLAC files are particularly robust. I would recommend always having a backup in either WAV or FLAC format.

That log appears to say that FFmpeg was loaded in under 1 second.Mark_Young wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:46 amAh, there's the bugger (I think). Audacity seems to have trouble getting FFmpeg underway.
FFmpeg is an optional component. It enables Audacity to import / export additional audio file formats.

Do you recognise what plug-in that message is referring to?
Which version of Audacity did you have before updating?

Re: X64
it would make better use of large files and large compositions in general. How big do you want to go? We've seen people doing 12 hour recordings with the 32-bit build. Audacity doesn't use large files in projects - the data is stored in lots of little files (typically around 1MB each). Audacity onl...
