Re: Slow/laggy interface

The vast majority of posts receive replies within 24 hours, and most receive replies much quicker than that (which is better than many commercial products where you can be waiting weeks for a reply). In a few cases, such as this one, if ...

Re: Off Tempo Playback

Did you set up "Latency Correction" before you started recording? If not, then see here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/latency_test.html

The new version (2.7.5)
What program are you referring to? There isn't a "2.7.5" version of Audacity.
Also, there is no-one called Martin in the Audacity team.

Re: Make each voice track a different frequency for band filter experiment

My filter would be a very narrow bandpass around that 5 kHz. I suppose I want to try to make the band as narrow as possible. Your best option currently is to use the "Filter Curve" effect. The next Audacity release has a new filter that will allow even narrower bands than are available fr...

Re: Woow!. Fantastic ideas for new skins!

It's worth noting that some graphics used in the UI are not image files, but are compiled directly into the code, and some as XPM pixel maps

Re: Audacity Logo Redesign

If we have a newer, fresher, and more modern UI One of the primary considerations when thinking about developing the UI, is that it is built with WxWidgets (https://www.wxwidgets.org/). WxWidgets has long had a reputation for making ugly UI's, though much less ugly these days than back in the days ...

Re: Audacity Clean Dark Theme

How many themes are there? My guess is that there's only about 10 in the 2.x format that have been posted to this forum, and a similar number in the old 1.3.x format. Perhaps there are more themes on other sites, but I've not looked for them. Have you?

Re: Make each voice track a different frequency for band filter experiment

Currently, the best way to get a steep band filter, is to use the "Filter Curve" effect (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/filter_curve.html) Drag the lower slider on the right hand side down to the bottom so that the dB scale goes down to -120 dB. This image shows a band-stop filter for...
