Re: Export Multiple Tracks causes my song to be out of sync
In Audacity 2.3.3, Export Multiple ignores any empty space that may be at the start of the track. The exported track starts from the beginning of the first audio clip in the track. (This has been fixed in the next Audacity release so that empty space at the start is rendered as silence). The solutio...

Re: Working Audacity foot controller, I need suggestions.
The only way I have thought about it is to record a fresh track or over dub. That will be easiest if you enable the option to "Record on a new track" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/recording_preferences.html) As you have 6 keys available, some useful commands might be: Play/Stop (&q...

Re: VST3 support on Audacity
Thanks for this request. The problem for Audacity with VST has always been licensing. I'm not a lawyer, but the GPL3 option for VST3 looks more friendly than the terms for the VST2 SDK. I'll raise this question with the development team. If it is decided that we can support VST3, then I expect that ...

Re: Is there any way to cut out sections of a track and splice them together?
Replacing a single word is tricky to without the repair being obvious. Better to replace the entire phrase, or even the whole verse. To do that, mute your first take (the track with the mistake) and re-record the bad part - start recording from before the mistake, and carry on past the mistake. The ...

Re: Adobe Audition theme for Audacity
No problem trodoo.
I will say that it's a very nice looking theme, but we can't really allow some $ products to be advertised and not others.
I'll leave this topic here so that you can see the reply, and just delete the original post.

Re: Create a Macro with a infinite loop
Since it would be used on a Interprise solution, I don't feel confortable weakening the security of the computers. We could analyze the risks and see if it worth. That "risk" only applies while Audacity is running with mod-script-pipe enabled. As far as I'm aware, it only applies in multi...

Re: Stero recording suddenly stopped working
No.
Perhaps a problem with the Zoom. Perhaps a glitch in the USB connection.
If you reboot your computer, can you reproduce the problem?

Re: Recording while ignoring Audacity Audio
1. Start playing the conversation track. 2. Start recording. 3. Trigger sound effects and/or score music in other programs outside of audacity on a new track. 4. Not have my conversation track also be recorded on my sound effect track. I assume that in step 1 you mean "playing the conversation...

Re: Re sequencing hundreds of AU files
Instead, I was left with a folder slugged "data" within which contained one file (audacity project file that doesn't open) and one folder. If you recall precisely how you did that, please do not spare the detail - we don't mind how long the post is so long as it is clear and to the point....
