Re: Can't Record Second Track
In the device toolbar, the recording device should be set to the Blue Raspberry rather than Microsoft Sound Mapper. I can't hear it out of my headphones plugged into the Raspberry, but that's a different issue. If you import an good audio file into Audacity and play it, can you hear that through you...

Re: crossfade clips behaving strangely
Topic moved to Windows forum.
Which version of Audacity are you using?
There are two "crossfade" effects. Ensure that you use the right one for your task:

The MAIN FEATURES I use require me to expand and contract the waveform to do editing such as delete some sections or amplfy, etc and then RETURN to original length. I could not find any way to do it on 2.3.3 Are you sure that you were previously using Audacity and not some other program? Perhaps I ...

Re: Audacity can not load ANY aup file
I've tested on Debian with Audacity 2.3.3 and these locale settings: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=US.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=hu_HU.utf8 LC_TIME=hu_HU.utf8 LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY=hu_HU.utf8 LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8" LC_PAPER=hu_HU.utf8 LC_NAME=...

Re: recording from Yamaha synth
It is unusual for Yamaha synths to send audio over USB. Please check the manual. My guess is that you are actually recording from your laptop's microphone.

Re: Export as...
In short, no, Audacity will always prompt you to save a project. The only formats that save all of the project information are Audacity Projects, and "Lossless Copy of Project". Exported audio files have the audio data, but cannot save envelopes, time tracks, labels, separate clips, un-mix...
