Re: Measure RMS: stereo value - is it correct?
Measure RMS (rms.ny): Left=-23 Right=-23 Stereo=-23 One (valid) way of thinking about this, is to imagine that you play a mono track through a pair of stereo speakers, and then measure the loudness. Then duplicate the mono track and combine the two mono tracks into a single stereo track. When you p...

Re: Measure RMS: stereo value - is it correct?
There are different ways to measure the RMS for stereo tracks. The way that rms.ny and Audacity's "Contrast" tool do it (which is the correct way in my opinion) is to calculate the square root of the average (both channels) of squared sample values. This is (literally) the "square roo...

Re: removing ALL metadata for .ogg files?
Are you sure that is metadata?
What application is showing you that, and what does it say exactly?

Re: Audacity LV2 support

No. It means that they don't display the pretty LV2 interface, only a basic interface like this: mda.png However, in Audacity 2.4.0 (due for release early next month), co...

Re: setRMS nyquist code not working
The link in my previous post is a plug-in that can be installed and used whenever you want. It does the same as what the non-working code is supposed to do.
@koz I suggest that you fix or remove the non-working code from your previous post.

Re: Waveform Height
You can apply the "Amplify" effect to make the waveform bigger.
However, if this is a recording that you made with Audacity, you should really aim to record at a slightly higher level. An ideal height for a recorded waveform is to have peaks that are around half the track height.

Re: Audacity not recognizing things it should recognize
I don't have an M2 drive to test, but I'd have expected that it would be possible to keep your vinyl collection on there.
