Audacity does not do real-time processing. When you pause, playback stops.
You can easily loop play the last note played using the "Timeline Quick Play" feature: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timeline.html#tqp

My top 2 tips would be: Get the timbre and ambiance right. Sound from a transistor radio will be quite "thin", a telephone will lack bass and treble, sound from another room will be muffled, sound in a bathroom will be echoey... Give visual clues. Example, cut to close up of radio as it li...

If it's like there is an invisible block in the way, then zoom in very close on the position of that invisible block. There may be a tiny audio fragment in the way that is invisible when zoomed out.

Obviously I can't hear that, but the waveform suggests that there are multiple problems with that recording. How is it recorded? Is it recorded from the built-in microphone of your laptop?
