Re: recording whilst listening to another track
Go into the Windows Sound settings. In the Recording tab, set the sample rate for the Rubix 44 to "44100". In the Playback tab, do the same. Launch, or restart Audacity and check that the "Project Rate" (lower left corner) is set to 44100. In Audacity's "Transport Menu > Tra...

Re: repair more than 128 samples
Thanks vpd. That reminds me that there is also "EZ-Patch": https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=164527#p164527 They make labels left and right outside the selection with the length of the selection. Now that Audacity can access Audacity's Macro Scripting commands, it would be pos...

Re: App crashes when I stop/play the audio many times
This is a known problem when using PulseAudio as the playback device (PulseAudio is also the default). To workaround the problem, select the "hw" device of your sound card in the Device Toolbar (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html) It's usually the "(hw:0,0)" ...

Re: posting a file to face book
It is not possible to directly post audio to facebook. What you would need to do is: 1) Export the audio from Audacity as an MP3 2) Upload the file to an audio sharing site such as SoundCloud 3) Post the address of the file that is now on SoundCloud to facebook. To export the recording from Audacity...

Re: repair more than 128 samples
Have you used ClipFix? https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/clip_fix.html
That uses cubic spline interpolation to reconstruct missing peaks.

Re: V2.0.0 is working fine, newer version don't find audio harware
In a software context, "obsolete" is usually defined as no longer supported and not receiving critical security updates. You can of course continue to run software even when no longer supported, though it is not generally recommended due to the lack of security updates. I still have a copy...

Re: Warning: Missing data block file
FFmpeg isn't related to the problem with the project. It appears that you don't have a compatible version of FFmpeg installed, but that's a different issue which we can deal with later. My audacity project crashed. I reopened and it can't find the files. When you got the error message, did you selec...
