Re: Repeat last action
Is there a way to implement a "Repeat last action" in a Nyquist plugin. No, Nyquist cannot "repeat last action". What I am looking for is a repeat on editing action, like cutting 20 ms on an audio track and redoing so on several other places around. It sounds like you should be ...

Re: Converting Audacity Sound Wave to Numerical form and vice versa
What would you recommend I do to fix that problem? Any plain text editor. I rarely use anything from Apple, so I don't know what's available. Perhaps "TextEdit". Please could you send me a document that you have created that will successfully import? Sure. Here you go: sample-data.txt

Re: Actual Rate
I don't find it very clear, Actual Rate for what It's the actual rate of the digital audio that is being recorded or played. When transport is stopped, the status bar shows: Stopped. When recording, something like: Recording. Actual Rate: 44100 When playing, something like: Playing. Actual Rate: 48...

Re: Repeat last action
I am on Windows 7 and would rather stay on it. Anyone tried 3.0.0 on Win 7 ? We have received a couple of reports indicating that Audacity seems to be at least mostly OK on Windows 7, but please note that we no longer support Windows 7 because it is obsolete. I'd suggest that you stick with your cu...

Re: Enable manual movement of the playback cursor
I know this function but it is not what I need; the behavior depends on whether QuickPlay is enabled or not: Well yes, of course it does. When it's disabled, it doesn't work :? If enabled, playback immediately starts without letting me fine adjust the position You could zoom in and click at the rig...

Re: Actual Rate
Received Rate for Playback Sent Rate when recording What does that mean? "Actual Rate: 44100 Hz" is very clear - it is the actual (real) sample rate that Audacity is currently running. I've no idea what "Received Rate for Playback" or "Sent Rate when recording" mean - ...

Re: Enable manual movement of the playback cursor
I really miss the possibility to manually move the green "unpinned-head playback cursor" to anywhere in the (especially zoomed) waveform and then start (indefinite) playback. Try clicking on the Time Line (the "time ruler" above the tracks). See also: https://manual.audacityteam...

Re: Projectnotes
I've never had a (paper) notebook crash and lose data. The worst that has ever happened to me was dropping it in a puddle :D (2 days to dry it out). The "paperless office" was only ever a marketing slogan ;) The IRS does not accept " sorry, I don't have any records because my computer...
