Have I got this right:
  1. You have two audio files
  2. You want to copy part of one file into the other file
If so, then the best way to do it is to Import both files into the same project, edit as necessary, then Export your finished masterpiece.

Try reinstalling Audacity, and during the installation, select the option "Reset Preferences".
On first run you will be prompted to confirm resetting preferences.

As Trebor wrote, you could process the screenshot with Gimp before putting it into the video.

I would strongly discourage downloading dll files as they can very easily be used for passing virus, trojans and/or other malware. Even if they are not malware, an incorrect version can interfere with the correct running of the computer and cause errors or instability. It is a very risky thing to do...
