Re: 2.4.1 - Device Toolbar dropdown resizing issue
gtk3 is not yet fully supported by Audacity. Currently the Audacity developers are using wx3.1 with gtk2. I regularly test Audacity built with wx3.0 and gtk2 (both are available from the Ubuntu 18.04 repository) and that combination works. I've also briefly tested with wx3.0 and gtk3. It basically w...

Re: Audacity 2.4.1 DOESN'T WORK in Linux Mint 19.3
The most commonly used PPA for Audacity is the "Panda Jim / ubuntuhandbook1" PPA. The Audacity 2.4.1 build in this PPA appears to be incomplete / faulty. In my opinion, PPAs should only be used by people that are reasonably "expert" with Linux, because PPA maintainers rarely prov...
Re: Curiosity
Are you referring to the "splash screen"?
If so, that screen is coded into Audacity. If you wish to modify it, you would need to get a copy of the Audacity source code, modify it, and build your own custom version of Audacity.

Re: TrimSilence and Plug-ins that do not come by default in Audacity 2.4.1.
Nyquist Plug-ins that do not come by default in Audacity 2.4.1. , are they no longer compatible? For example the TrimSilence.ny. Someone can confirm it? Thank you. When asking about specific Nyquist plug-ins, please provide a link to where the plug-in can be downloaded. There are hundreds of Nyquis...

Re: ACX-Check stopped working
Yes you can, but you can only run one version at a time. It's probably more accurate to say that you "should" only run one version at a time. It is "possible" to run certain combinations of old and new versions at the same time, but strongly discouraged. The purpose of the limit...

Re: Audacity input and speaker levels are dictated by system levels.
No. The controls in Audacity just provide (when supported by the sound system) an easy alternative way to change the system levels.
