was expecting whether a plugin can detect the beats and calculate the bpm accordingly.
From the first post in this topic:
Before anyone asks, no it does not extract the BPM from an existing audio track.

The system recorded perfectly well when the mic was plugged into some ports, but horribly in others.
So this seems to solve problem (2)

If anyone know an explanation for this, i would still be grateful.
Possibly a difference between USB2 and USB3 ?

Re: My bad....No Sound Devices--misplaced post

Mod(s) pleased excuse my lack of familiarity with the board No problem, I've merged the two topics. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps you need to give Audacity permission to use the sound card. I rarely use Windows, but this might help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4468232/windows-10-camer...

Re: What happened to Waveform(dB) in v2.4.1

Waveform(dB) is by far the best view for precisely finding and labeling the beginning and end of songs You need to be a bit careful with that. By default, the Waveform (dB) scale runs out at -60 dB. Anything less than -60 dB is hidden. In this screenshot, there are two tracks with identical audio. ...

Re: 432 Hz, no aparece

44100 Hz is the "sample rate" and is not related to instrument tuning.

Google Translate:
44100 Hz es la "frecuencia de muestreo" y no está relacionada con la afinación de los instrumentos.

Re: Errors with scripting API

I've been using Python scripting quite a bit recently - mostly on Linux but also on Windows 10.
On Windows I was running Python from IDLE.

I did not encounter the problem that you described.
If you find a repeatable way to produce the error, please do let us know.

Re: RAW unsigned 8-bit PCM import/export, sample selection and editing

Audacity works internally in 32-bit float format, so when exporting as 8-bit, the data is downsampled from 32-bit float to 8-bit. As is standard practice when reducing the bits per sample, the output has "dither" applied. This is generally a good thing for audio, but not good for "sci...

Re: Time Display Preference?

Update Audacity to the current 2.4.1 version. The last used time format in the Selection Toolbar is remembered in Audacity 2.4.1.

Audacity 2.4.1 is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
