Why is that needed? I can't think of any uses that I can't already do with the existing labels.

That says "Line In".
You need one that says "Line out", or "Aux out", or at a push even "headphone out", but it must be an "output".

Are you able to play other files in Audacity without crackling?

Also a setting for the split view ratio. Id like the waveform to be 20% and the spectral view to be 80%.

The idea is that you drag the split line up / down to whatever ratio you want.
