Re: My bad....No Sound Devices--misplaced post
When you reinstalled Audacity 2.4.1, did you "Reset Preferences"? (It's an option that appears during the installation) If not, try reinstalling and enable that option. When you launch Audacity after the reinstall, you will be asked to confirm resetting preferences, then you should see the...

Re: Debug report
In the first picture from your last post, with "log.txt (Audacity Log)" selected, click the "View" button. That should open the log in your text editor and allow you to copy and paste from the log into your reply.

Re: All available memory consumed quickly
Sorry but I can't think of any way to make Audacity use that much memory even if I wanted to. A Google search for "antergos ram crash" suggested this page: https://forum.antergos.com/topic/8913/antergos-freezing-ram-problem/2 but the website can't be found. Their official website "htt...

Re: Recording with Behringer U-Control UCA222
Win10 recognises it as a "USB audio Codec" - as does Audacity. If I import a wav file it plays back ok through the UCA222 headphone jack if it is set as the playback device. But absolutely nothing heard/seen when selected as the input. What is plugged into the input of the UCA222? I bough...

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1
I'm guessing that is the step that forces it to pull the whole sound into memory rather than work on it in stream fashion. I think the problem is the "snd-length" command. See: https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~rbd/doc/nyquist/part8.html#index280 See the updated "SilenceMarker.ny" to see ...

Re: ACX Check fails in 2.4.1
I like that sample where the performer patched a small segment in the middle of a perfect reading with a trash reading. That's rough to manage. I thought you would like that :) Interesting though, I didn't even notice when casually listening. Even the "trash" part is very close to ACX spe...

Re: Macros and Scripting
I had also considered parsing the existing label file and adding the labels to a new label track, which remains a possibility if I still have problems on slower machines, but it does seem a bit of a kludge, especially when there are a lot of labels Try the Nyquist plug-in. It should be very fast. L...

You could make your own theme. For example, see this topic: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=97814
