Sorry but I don't understand what you mean.
When you use the word "tracking", do you mean "recording"?
(the verb "record", meaning "to convert sound into a permanent form for subsequent reproduction or broadcast")

Re: TRACKING STEREO AT TWO DIFFERENT VOLUMES???
If you record 2 channels (as a stereo track), you can split the stereo track after recording to create 2 mono tracks.
Each mono track has it's own pan and gain sliders.

Re: Asking the user to enable plug-ins right after installing them is cumbersome
If a user is installing a plug-in it is reasonable to assume they want to use it. Therefore it should be enabled automatically. It's a technical limitation. The Nyquist Plug-in Installer is itself a Nyquist plug-in. Prior to this, users had to manually copy the Nyquist plug-in file into the correct...

Re: Can't enable plugins
The ubuntuhanbook1 PPA build is broken. I'd suggest that you: 1) Completely remove "audacity" and "audacity-data" packages. 2) Remove or disable the ubuntuhanbook1 PPA from your sources. 3) Reinstall the older version of Audacity from the main Ubuntu repository. 4) Report the pro...

Re: Balance question!!
- I've got a mono mp3 recording but it has a terrible off beat echo when the balance is set in the middle (something wrong with the original recording that can't be changed) - However when I turn the balance to full L or full R the off beat echo disappears. When you import the file into Audacity, d...

Do you still have a copy of the project in it's "broken" state?
I've been trying to reproduce the problem but not been able to. If you still have that broken project then you may be able to help us to discover exactly what is happening. If you don't have it, then never mind.
