Re: Audacity Crashes Windows
In modern versions of Windows, about the only thing that can cause a kernel crash is a bad driver. Normal applications (such as Audacity) are not allowed to directly access the kernel. You have almost certainly got a driver problem. If you are using a branded computer, check on the manufacturer's we...

Re: Mono Recordings Opening as 2 Channel Stereo
If you export a mono track from Audacity and it becomes stereo, that is probably because you accidentally moved the track "Pan" slider before exporting (See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audio_tracks.html#pan) If that's the only problem, then it's easy to fix. Just split the stereo ...

Re: Audacity wouldn't recognize the new plugins folder.
I'd suggest that you completely remove Audacity from your system, ensuring that you retain backup copies of any custom plug-ins that you want to keep. Then clear out the old Audacity configuration files that are in the hidden folder: C:\Users\ <user name> \Application Data\audacity\ (The drive lette...

Re: HIDDEN SELECTTIONS
Please avoid writing in all upper case. I'll move your suggestion to the "adding features" forum board, though personally I doubt that the suggestion would be popular with most users. When working on large projects I think it would quickly become annoying to be repeatedly asked to confirm ...

Re: No Supported Sample Rates, Errors 9986 and -9997
I have tried opening Audacity through Terminal (which has been granted Full Disk Access): The current version of Audacity should be launched normally, not through the terminal. The current version is Audacity 2.4.1 and it is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/...

Re: Newbe trying to get Nyquist Prompt to work.
If I can just get this stupidly simple tutorial to work, I believe I will be fine. I think the page is now updated apart from the Windows 10 screenshots. Let me know if I've missed anything, or if any of it remains unclear. As I wrote previously, if you can post updated screenshots, I'll be happy t...

Re: Newbe trying to get Nyquist Prompt to work.
What the heck is 1.250000? S must evaluate to 0.25. Why? This is one of the reasons why the global variable for the selected audio was changed from "S" to "*TRACK*". Nyquist exists as a stand alone audio programming language outside of Audacity. When Nyquist was shoehorned into ...

Re: Newbe trying to get Nyquist Prompt to work.
Second example, an intentional error (print hello). When I press OK, nothing happens, and suddenly, I am looking at the regular Audacity display with my track(s) on it. If I press Debug, I immediately get a "Debug Output" window displaying: "error: unbound variable - HELLO if continu...

Re: Newbe trying to get Nyquist Prompt to work.
It looks like it was once located under the Effect tab, but has been moved to the Tool tab. Yes? The link above talks about both locations and needs to be edited. I found one mention of it being in the Effect menu, which I have corrected (yes, it was in the Effect menu when that article was first w...

Please attach the full debug report. The message window tells you where the report file is located ("C:\Users\asira\....")
